Hi everybody! ^_^
I really wanted to get this out by this morning, but the FTP software I use was acting up, so I actually had to upload it through a website, which took FOREVER. Also, the episode ended up being just over 2 hours and 24 minutes long. It took a total of 12 hours and 15 minutes to edit (5 PM to 10:15 PM one night and 10 PM to 5:30 AM last night >_>). I guess we were rusty or something. T_T
Anyway, we cover like 7 patches and Warez ended up writing like a 8 page Party Center segment, so we’ve got quite the episode for you. We also talked a bit about marketing in MapleStory and how to go about making and saving some money. This week’s Newbie Tip is about security: what you can do to prevent hackers from getting to your account.

A few things wrong: HT neclace is +15 to all stats and then its like +11 to ea stat for the eggs, and only 1 egg drops per kill. And the egg is 100%

Horntail Necklace is +7 all stats when clean, 3 slots. Use the egg to scroll, it gives +15 to all stats, 60% chance. When all successful it will end up being +52. Info acquired from Windia HT runners.
you guys made a fatal mistake making nurima a guest on this show, her voice is silky and sexy and will make your entire fan base gasem… then they will push you aside and demand 2 hours of nurima and now warez and neph. the revolution is at hand… VIVA LA BUTTSECKS!!!
Good job Nuri, very professional. Also it was great guys, good job. I am curious about one thing, was this recorded on Warez’s computer? I noticed that he sounded different and I used to have a drummer’s podcast and if different people recorded on different computers, it sounds differently. Or Warez got a new mic.
Anyways, I was curious if I may do a Hotspot, I’m thinking between v/hoodoos and FoG. It would be turned in soon, since where I work I have erratic hours, and do not work next week, or the week after. Hopefully I’ll get to 3rd job after 2 and a half years but probabaly not lol. Good job on the podcast, I hope next episode willl be even better, you seemed a little uptight this time. Well I’ll check my email for you response, and this website.

Anyhow, I personally don’t know how Shravan and Warez recorded, but I recorded myself separately and just sent the MP3 file to Warez.

In the first half of it, Warez had his gain set too high. It caused a lot of what I was saying to be picked up by Warez’s mic through his headphones…. >_> After running it through a low-pass filter, in order to rid it of some noise, Warez’s voice ended up sounding more uh…muffled-ish? than normal. I had no idea how to fix this and it was late and I was like “whatever…..you guys prolly want the episode out as it is over having me spend a lot more time trying to figure this out.” In the 2nd half of the episode though, I think Warez had somehow remedied the gain and it sounded a little better.
As for the HotSpot, yes please. ^_^ If you have knowledge of something you’d like to share, we’d be glad to have it.
As for the us being all uptight…..well…it’s been a little over 5 months since we last put out an episode (Ep. 13 doesn’t count =P). Turns out we were a lot rustier because of it (I said “um” like 7*10^15 times >_>). I tried to edit out our failures, but I guess it was still noticeable. T_T
I knew it was something, if you guys ever need help on certain editing aspects do not be afraid to contact me sometime…I’d be glad to help. I love listening to the podcast at work as it somewhat fuels my addiction lol. Also I am actually pondering what to choose for a Hotspot. FoG, v/hoodoos are all straightfoward as there are horizontal maps, no real stragedy other then run right to left lol, which is why Warez did not have some grand plan to be at Himes, while he did at the Spa. Also Warez, I am surprised at you. The old Warez would have said MTS creates more unfair advantages with NX. MTS is not used for people to get NX, its used by people with NX to get better items. I guess the five months changed you a bit. Bleh.
Whoops, accidently submitted. Also, would a Party Center be acceptable? I am in construction of a low dex spearman, which is level 30 at the moment and I tried the CPQ, found it very fun. I love PQs and probably 65% of my mapling time in the two and a half years of playing probably have been pqing, so its a learning experience for me, and I would be glad to give my new, fresh expirence with CPQ, instead of going through a map like Jr. Yetis or FoG, which a lot of people know about.

Hey guys, me again. Just putting it out there I’ll probably be doing a lmpq party center, just shouting it out to make sure no one takes it before me π
Also I find it hard to do an entire video podcast, so I’ll just put the first 10 mins of ep 11. Depending on the feedback I’ll change how I’ll do it and start on ep 14.
Also, you guys forgot to mention testers in the this episode. I know it’s sortof controversial and isn’t actually the real version of ms, but it was a really good way to get info about upcoming patches.

It’s the newest patch for kms. It shows the back story of the maple world. There were a lot of theories in the thread so if you have some time I suggest you check it out.
I think I’ll try a newbie tip: ‘remember which character your playing’.
I went from playing in Ludi w/ Spazzcakes, logging off, falling asleep, logging in as my level 13 mage, wondering why I wasn’t in Ludi, spent all of my money going to Ludi, then died on a pink teddy o_o
So remember what character you’re playing as, people! xD
Ha, good episode. I fell asleep during the GPQ part, but i was tired during it. Also, when you were talking about the 4th job skills, I’m not sure about all classes, but quite a few (such as the I/L AM) have extra points to spend. I/L AMs have 12 extra SP to apply even when all their 4th job skills are maxed.

A quick note~I’m workig on a HotSpot idea since I’m trying to get to 70 by Saturday finding you guys good maps for those hell levels of 6x. Now that I listened to Ep. 9 for no reason again, I realized something about my last voicemail. It’d be cool if you guys played it but I forgot that LMPQ is old lol, I had quit from Aug ’07~Jan ’08 so I thought it was new. My bad.

Nurima, I believe the chances of an egg working on a pendant is 100%. Unfortunatly, only the 1st upgrade is available in gms atm.
Just to comment on the epi timer, i suggest you record instead of exploring tespia, since it’s being an arseface with all the d/cing.

Correct. Ariant & the Colliseum, but not Magatia as far as we can tell. Also possibly Skill macros, Guild alliances, improvements to the map system & a few other things. Araint is almost a certainty, but we’ll see about the others. That is if they ever get Tespia fixed.

Hey, me again. I found that if you can’t get out of the Maple Training camp do this. On the tespia server click on view all characters and select one. Then select Channel NaN or 2, and it doesn’t have the same problems. Also, sorry I haven’t contributed anything yet, I was grinding like crazy. I hit 70 today andI will record somehting once I get to 75, or there is a patch during game play.

yo warez and shravan if i were you guys i would hold on with recording the Ep until you guys can find a smart time (after checkin out the patch) to get all the info you can about whats in it so we know and dont have to wait or go find it ourselves (society is lazy :D)

ive been too lazy ive had jakabajillions of characters and not a single one got close to lvl 70… cept 1 my lvl 62 which took… 2 years to get through and finally get one this close T.T i wanna be 3rd job by july but with my lazyness i have no chance in hell…:1

While browsing on Sleepywood I saw a screenshot of what Macro was. Basically, you can assign three skills to one hotkey, supposedly to save time e.g Hyper Body+Booster+Dragon Blood. Or Magic Guard+Bless+Heal. You can also make it a chat command, e.f if you wanted to use one, you could assign it to activate when you said “Power Up!”
Also, DEATH TO 20 HOUR PATCHES, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
