On terms of my hiatus and initial ‘your not allowed on the computer unless you ace next marking period’ thing… just five minutes ago, I received my test back (the one I swear that I failed) and I got a solid 90 on it. Things are looking up~~ ❤
Last year I tried to play WoW. That game pissed me off so much. First I started this giant goat thing with an axe and killed brain dead wolves or something. Every time I died I started a new character because walking to my dead body just made me angry. Eventually I made a little old dwarf gnome dude and ran around dancing for people as I was screaming “MAPLESTORY FTW”…..There is my epic adventure into WoW!

WTF??? ROCK BAND??? GHWT???? You people are trapped in the fantasies that are instrument-simulating games! You feel so much more accomplishment by actually playing the songs on a real guitar/bass/drum set! Well, the singing part is okay because you could improve on something that is productive and could be used in live shows and other stuff. I mean how is pressing a bunch of buttons in a some sort of sequence productive? Sure it’s pretty fun but don’t you think its better to actually play real instruments to entertain an audience than playing a game to show off your high score and your ability to press buttons and flap pieces of plastic (note: this is what I’m really asking you; ignore the other stuff I wrote if you want but perhaps you disagree and I’d be more than happy to hear your opinion.)? You get a high percentage only to have someone telling you that you don’t come come theirs and blah, blah, blah. You don’t get those responses when you show off what you could do on an instrument. At least you get a “good job” from someone if not no comments. Sure people would correct you sometimes but that makes you a better musician. Well, this is just my point of view when it comes to this topic and I know you’d have a different one and I accept that. Your not the only one that has heard (in your case, seen) this from me. I said it to all of my friends just to get answers like “WTF, why do you care so much?” and “Screw you, get a life” and “Right… *stares at me like I’m the Jason with the hockey mask and machete while shivering and runs for dear life*”. Of course the last one was totally made up but you get the point. No hard feelings! Just a little non-related rant that I wanted to throw out there. I still play these games by the way, but only the vocals and drums. Drums are closer to the real deal than the guitars are at least. Whoa this is a long comment! XD

rawr! i focus on being a bassist(both types, the bass guitar and the double bass) ramen so no dual 4 u! but i play guitar 2 but just not as good at it cause i’m too used to the wide space between the strings. u just cant finger, slap and pop on a guitar that well and using a bow on a guitar makes no sound at all(it might work on nylon guitars, never tried it). and the bass fits in literally every type of music, the guitar just doesnt work in some types of music unless if u have those super amps that make the guitar sound like any other instrument in the world XD
but GhostBanditX just pwned all of us ramen and winter. the triangle is uber godly!
btw, electric violins look weird, they dont even look like violins
playing maple for a long period of time makes my butt numb and thats all that maple really affects me.

many games use like neverwinternights. They use a random number generator when it comes to your damage its a rnadom number generator that makes number whithin your damage range. That is why we can get our damage to a certian place with equip0s when its alot harder to do that in lets say neverwinterknights

And umm havent you heard about final fantasy? Umm its been around for ages. You shouldv’e at least heard the name. Emulators are kOoL but some have viruses… I know this is a family podcast thingy but i got a virus in pop-up from a game i got for the emulator. It was pron.(switch the “r” and the “o”) I exited out emidietly. I uninstalled my emulator, scanned my comp, and removed about 100-110 viruses.
Emulators have a wierd catch. They are not perfect. Nothing compared to the original. and so they can crash ur comp and all that stuffzzz. How do u get the emulator on ur ipod. I could have another reason for sleeping at like 3 in the morning =D. Back to teh 2nd year of internet thing.
2ND YEAR OF INTERNET!!!!!??!!?!?! i would be mad but it depends. are u like 15. if so i would be mad as hell. im 12 and ive been on the computer for like 7 years o-o probably more. I know ppl that are asian. cuz most of my frends are asian. Their parents arent that strict. (Except for one who isnt allowed to use the computer) Thats messed up. Internet can do wonders for your knowledge… And the fact that its fun :D.

well, im 13… and i had internet for less than 3 months when i was 7 cuz it broke down somehow. i got it again at 9 but again, it broke down within 4 months. and if you have an ipod touch you can “hack” (jailbreak or cydia hack) and download the GPsphone emeulator (gba emulator). you need to make some folders in your ipod things (you will need winscp for windows or cyber duck on apple). then you need to put this file in your GPsphone folder and blah blah. get the rom put it in the folder you made before (change the things to 0777 so save can work)… yea its confusing stuff if your only gonna rely on youtube vids and google searches.. yea it took 4-6 hours figuring everything out… so if you have an ipod touch and want this, i can help you so that you can finish in 30mins- 1 hours (grr, i wish i had that)
overall, if spazz is reading this, her head should hurt more. if everyone else is reading this, your head should hurt anyway…
and kevin, my friend downloaded hacks for maple (booooo)… and until he did a software restore, maplestory’s website was a pron site instead.. uhhhhh

Basically, S+W have a raffle in which anyone who wishes to participate will get their names written down and thrown into a hat ( the goblet of fire is being rented by a turkey raffle) and Shim or Warezilocks (c) will draw people, said people will choose their segments(first come first serve, dont complain if you didnt get what you wanted), all segments will be up for grabs except News for everyone loves the news :P. Please comment on my idea, Warez n Shim get to make the final decision.
P.s. segments like QC or Hotspot that usually get 2 submissions will have two slots

Hey everybody, just a short note to say, be careful whilst visting himes. As everyone knows by now millions of hackers have infested the region T_T. as for me I was wondering around himes, on my recently lvld 108 hermit gaining fast experience whilst in the 2x event, all of a SUDDEN I was getting major lag o_0 anyways I walked to the left hand side of the map and low and behold a botter had arrived. He was spamming attack so fast I could barely move, next thing I know I had been dc’d and was handed a temporary ban T_T, I filed a complaint to Nexon, but guess what? no replavy…So I guess I’l have to wait out the 30 days with vengance. OK will take my advice and avoid himes whenever possible.

Yea, another warning bout himes, the No-Delay spam healers will vac all monsters to one spot on the map, INCLUDING tengu. I once walked into a map, and didnt notice anything TOO wierd. I began attacking monsters, but saw tengu at the far right and began walking back out (this was on my BM, not NL, so FJing was out of the question). A no-delayer came in and started vaccing the monsters to the far left side. So here comes tengu, flying toward me, snarling and thrashing as he goes. Boof, I died. Luckily, this hacker was one that tried to act ‘legit’ to the general masses. I had his IGN and guild smeged 2 minutes later, and he is now no longer on the rankings.

by the way I’ve been looking into how hackers actually ‘hack’ and a sudden idea sprung to my ‘creative’ mind o_0. Hackers rely heavily on one main thing. Being able to copy .wz files, eg mob.wz, map.wz, then patching then in order to bott ect. Now here’s the main point, if nexon were to make ALL maplestory related files uncopiable then sure this would render hacks useless. Please tell me if this idea would work or not as im no ‘computer wizz kid’ and would like to know if this is actually do-able.

if they were “uncopyable” then we would not be able to download maplestory in the first place. heres what i mean. Nexon has a storage place on their host server (maplestory. com). if we were not able to “copy” em, we would not be able to copy the files necessary to install maple onto our computer. and also- to make a file “unmovable” “uncopyable” “undeletable”- u would have to put viruses onto the file. if nexon did that, knowing how cheap americans are (yes i only count for half cuz im asain born in US)- they would sue nexon for putting viruses onto a file which was placed onto their computer.
[i mean seriously, this old lady was about to die in a hospital (from running out of air) but the doctors saved her life by putting this thing in her throat to allow her to breath…. this ol’ granny sued the doctors for a chipped tooth and got away with about a couple million i think… tsk tsk]
and so, if u had “uncopyable” files, scania would be empty for the first time since 2003…
mhmm, I see what you mean, But perhaps nexon could find a way of letting us download maple, then after it was installed, make the files uncopiable. hmh just a thought. Considering how hacking has been around since the dawn of time, Nexon’s efforts a really shocking. They call ‘stopping’ hacking, placing ncp’s advising people not to hack T_T. anyway thanks for throwing some light onto it.

I usually dont spend a whole lotta nx every week, just in bursts. I hadnt finished HP washing for a long time. Every lvl i lvl up with +120 int, so i get an extra 12 mp. Every AP reset allows me to take 12 out of my MP and put it into anything (+16 hp for me). I can now survive safely at Skeles and Guardians, so it is worth it…in my opinion at least.

Here’s a basic run-down of HP washing.
Every time you lvl, you gain a certain amount of MP. However, if you lvl with INT, you get more MP at the lvl. For every 10Int you lvl with, you get 1 extra MP. For a hermit/NL/Sin, it takes 12 MP every AP reset you do. So you take the extra MP out and put it into another stat (i.e. HP) Adding HP with a resets adds +16 to HP.
You can only effectively HP wash if you have been lvling with INT equips for a large amount of lvls. For example, ever since I was lvl 70, I lvl up with +120 in int (this comes from INT equips, and MW). So, every lvl, I get an extra 12 MP above the normal amount given. If I ever reset EVERY MP i possibley can, I will basically get an additional +16 HP per lvl.
Some people may say this isnt worth the extreme amount of NX cash it takes. However, those people have most likely never played a NL/BM/MM.
As jami stated before, we have a REALLY low amount of HP. Everything most classes train on, will 1-2 hit kill us. Nexon really forced auto-pot and HP washing onto our classes. We only get a normal +24 hp every lvl up, so an additional +16 REALLY helps out. Jami said he has what, 2.9k hp at lvl 108? I am currently lvl 123 and have 4.1k. We dont get a bonus after 4th job, that is ALL hp washing. At my lvl, Jami would only have 3310 HP. This isnt enough to train at Skele OR guardians. HP washing makes lvls 12x-13x much easier. It also allows you to HT before lvl 150 (or cwkpq). I really wish Nexon had given us more base HP, they seem to be forcing us to buy the overpriced resets.
Forcing? its an option for the people with NX cash. I personally dont care if 12x-13x is a breeze, my only care is that at that level, im having as much fun enjoying the game with my freinds as i am now and not worrying about if my hp is high enough to survive skeles

Why do you train there? Fast training is not a good reason, reliable monsters(ones that dont fire kamehameha waves out of theyre faces that dont 2hko you) are the best places to go IMO, and im gonna be like IRL Shim and list ALL my reasons(no offense dude)
1. Less Tombstoning
2. No breaking the bank(RL+In Game) to go that extra mile to avoid dying
3.Faster kills, more exp per kill doesnt always mean more exp/hour
4. Less stress, its hard to find training partners/spend millions on pots for an hour of training/finding a map not being mob-attacked to smithereens
I think just because the other classes go there doesnt mean you have to go there(i.e. i was at M.Chronos at 5x instead of FOG/STDs/LMPQ(not as clogged at that time). Plus, BM’s+NL’s usually have enough speed and power to train at himes(example)and get enough exp per hour to match a A.Mage at Wyverns(example)

well, when I say everything 2 hits me, i mean EVERYTHING!!! The only thing that doenst 2 hit me, yet is still good training, are Kents. And they still 3 hit me. NLs and BMs r the single most expensive classes to train (for pots). Without auto-pot, you will die…A TON! I mean, higher lvled ranged classes have little to no HP, so everything pretty much 2-hits us until lvl 150 or so. There arent many other places to train after 100. Before 1xx, there are many options, but afterward, it is pretty much narrowed down to a few places.
It’s hard to explain just how difficult it can be to stay alive as a 1xx NL or BM. Even a second or two of lag means death. Your finger slips for the pot button, and you’re dead. You look away for a second, you’re dead. Auto-pot IS necessary as a NL/BM at higher lvls. I haven’t met a 4th job NL/MM/BM who DOESNT have auto-pot.
As for price for HP washing, it’s 3.1k per AP reset. So……3.1k x however many you do. Expensive, yes. But it’s about 100 times better than buying NX clothes. I would much rather have an extra 2k hp at lvl 200 than a few uber cute outfits.
hmm Ok I understand now. And I agree with LDW im fed up of having to get the neigbourhood Dk to come and train with me.
Perhaps for me auto -pot would be best as im always having pets, and it sounds cheeper.
@kevin, belive me 500-600 dollars isn’t really excessive when you think I’ve been playing this for 2 and 1/2 years. Next time you see as 120+ decked out in the lastest Nx, ask them how much they’ve spent on nx. Most say over $1000, I once heard about someone who spent $20,000 on nx but that could have been a Lie, but its not impossible.

HP washing is pretty useless for warriors, but semi-decent for bandits. You guys get meso-guard 3rd job anyways, so having a huge amount of HP isnt really necessary.

News on my condition, guys!
So, it turns out that it’s a good thing I’m so short… because if I was any taller at this age, my condition would be fatal. Which is kinda bad.
But anyway, I’ll pretty much be out of commission from April 14th through April 21st. Heart surgery’s gonna do that to you. I’m also supposed to limit my time staring at bright screens… so depending on when recording falls, I might or might not be able to edit this episode. But it also depends on my hard drive situation. ❤
gonna learn to edit audio soon(self taught), if you guys need an editor if good ol spazzy isnt available, im free to do it.
P.S. is there a limit on being a guest? id like to guest again soon 😮

I always hate it when people use the empire state building comparison, An item reaches it terminal velocity very quickly and will no longer gain speed.
with some items, dropping off the top of your house would cause it to hit the ground at the same speed as if it were dropped off the empire state building.

to do this he start leveling with Int equips (that would make a mage jealous)at 2nd job and kept it up since.

Overhere warez, i got nothing better to do with my time, plus, seeing as i live less than 5 mins away from Shim, it will be no problem getting the script to you guys if i get grounded or worse.

You could just ask me to help write the script you know.. I had no idea you were that busy, and I know that ARR is at the bottom of your priority list, but still, I could do as much as you need, I don’t think we need a script writer

I’ve been living with this heart condition since before I was born. If I haven’t died yet, I probably won’t. Well, until I reach above the age of 35, but I still have a while to worry about getting the surgery done before then. ;D
Everything’s resolving pretty smoothly– my hard drive’s back, the results from the heart monitor are in and, although it didn’t spell out ‘1337’, my heart rate indicates that I don’t have the fatal disease they thought I did. Apparently, due to the fact that I am so incredibly active, part of my heart is the size of, say, Michael Phelps’. They just needed to make sure that it wasn’t some really weird disease starting with an M which I forget the name of. D:

As I’ve said earlier, I’m supposed to be limiting my time staring at bright screens after the surgery. Well, woop-de-do, my surgery’s been postponed until further notice… probably either September/October-ish 2009, or March/April-ish 2010. Still, that’s a long ways away. You can’t expect to get rid of me for /that/ long. :3
When it gets right down to it, my condition isn’t bad at all. They can do the entire thing within two hours with a cathador, and half of that is just making sure my heart doesn’t reject the plug completely. Then I spend the night in the hospital, watch really old soap operas and eat sponge cake, and then go home the next day. I’ll be out of school for a week, and swimming for a month, and I’m supposed to be not staring at bright screens for a week… but after that, I’m good to go.
So seriously, guys. You thought you could get rid of me /that/ easily? ;D

Someone, you obviously havent been around that long if your expecting it to come out the day they FINISH(not start, W+S start recording past 11 pm Central, finish about 2 am ish) it takes a good week or two(or three) to edit this stuff, Warez and Shim dont have hours of free time to do whatever they want, considering Warez has a family to support and Shim took it upon himself to be in a club almost every single day at school and has stuff making incredibly loud noises in his basement, and Spazz, our beloved Audio editor, is out sick, no, it wont be out today or tommorow, expect it by, oh, late April/early May, which is pretty reasonable for ARR.
PS, sorry to blow up like this, I dont like it when people expect too much of others, seeing as its what my parents do to me.
O ok I was just asking. I wasn’t really expecting it to be out so soon anyway because of the mountain load of work they have.

well if we go waaay back to feburary- i kinda guessed it would come out in may… lets face it, there like 3-4 patches with A LOT of stuff in it. if i could guess again, ide say the minimum of episode 20 (editted) will be about 3 hours 30 mins. and thats only the minimum ide think. and shim is not supportting his family but warez is. they take the few mins left over to do this and that… well i personally think shim doesnt get a lot of hw -_-
Your wrong SW, me and Shim both are freshman at the same school, we have a week till the final part of semester 2, I personally already have 2 final projects i need to finish, another thing is, Shim has an extra class and a club almost every day, and has religous and personal commitments on the weekend, he is an incredibly busy person.

SW, think before you post, some of us(me included) work hard to do good, I failed 7th, 8th, and most of 9th, Ive gotten into honors placement every single year so far, Pre-Alg in 6, Alg 1 in 7, Alg 2 in 8th(went back to 1), Alg 2 Honors(went down to accel, didnt learn anything in honors), if youve been paying attention, you know i get bad grades most of the time; but, im pretty smart, that guy in your class, hes probably like me, a slacker who doesnt always get his work in on time. Those are usually some of the smarter people in the class. I know Shim and Warez and Spazz and everyone would agree with me when I say, grades dont make you smart, how you understand, how you imagine, how you solve, how you feel, how you empathize, are what make you smart, and even the mentally challenged can be intelligent at times. Freaking Einstein flunked high school math. Well, thats that, I really hope you think things through next time you post, you dont know who you might anger.

i personally think 1st gen pwns 2nd gen. but that was before the 2nd gen cydia hack came out. and i also dont like 2nd gen cuz it looks like a good way for apple to make money. its 100 dollars cheaper than 1st gen but think about it: its small, and looks more fragile (with the curved in sides) it could easily slip someone’s hand (or be stolen) which results in you buying another one. but that could only be me, this kid had to buy like 5 ipod touch’s for some random reason.
my main point, if you cydia hack it (with the free 2.0 [or 8.0?] restore) with a couple easy steps, you can put “cracked” apps without paying em. =)

let me give u some tips from ur jailbreak:
this is for firmware 2.0+ (1st + 2nd gen)-
1) All Sources (google “how to get all sources on Cydia”)
2) GPSphone (gba thing. u will need to SSH into it and move the GBA bios into the specified folder. google the bios) [optional]
3) Winterboard- u can change the background ect. [recommended for pwnful ipod]
4) BossPrefs- u need this to SCP (using WinSCP or CyberDuck [also google]) [REQUIRED FOR COOL THINGS]
5) then download Open SSH- go to BossPrefs and check SSH on [REQUIRED FOR COOL THINGS]
6) BossTools- u will need this to move the smaller drive to the bigger drive, can leave more room for other cydia things. [REQUIRED]
7) TuneWiki- not nessecary but whatever song u pick it will play and search for lyrics (wifi needed). [optional]
8) LogoMe- (ONLY FOR 1ST GEN)- if u havent changed ur start up logo during jailbreaking, you can use this. [optional]
9) now if u need want the paid apps for free- u need to SSH into ur ipod, find where the ORIGINAL mobile installation is at (google it) then download the CRACKED/PATCHED mobile installation. (google/ youtube for more help). i have a website for the cracked paid apps (note: u NEED the patched mobileinstallation to get the paid apps in). or u can google it.
now if u got the 1.1- 1.1.5 jailbreak, it will be interesting + hard to manage. i dont recommend it, and anyway- i dont think many people make guides for hacking 1.1-1.1.5 other than the ones from a couple years ago.
sorry for typing so much but i LOVE my itouch, and i will give hints to anyone who has a hacked one.

lol, dont get the psx emu. it runs at like 5 fps (which is like super slow) the opening of FFVII on the ipod took like 10 mins to load. and on top of that, there are some games that take up a good 100 mb on ur ipod. it makes it run slow. i dont recommend the psx, but the gba, NES and the old stuff work very well.
the thing i recommend is to replace ur mobileinstallation with the patched one so u can get Installous on ur ipod (can install cracked apps through ur ipod) or u can go to appulo dot us they got it all (u just need to patch the cracked thing)

lol, i get about 100-200 dollars a year (saved up from new years [korean tradition, we bow to elders and get money])
my lunches are crappy -_-… i get 3 bucks per day and after the day im always left with 1.25 dollars, cuz one 3 by 3 cookie is .75. a 25 cent back of chips are .75. 30 cent milk is 50 cent… a tiny cup of juice is .75… -_-

I’m 13 years, one month, and 4 days (XD) and am in my school’s beginning band. I play the bassoon, so i use a school owned instrument (:D 😀 😀 :D). I get $200 for my birthday alone, and a crap-load of stuff for Christmas. What instrument do you guys play?
I’m 13, play in my middle school’s orchestra. violin for about 7 1/2 years and i suck compared to this 7th grade girl… see its embarrasing cuz a 7th grade girl and a 6th grade girl has BOTH the 1st and 2nd seats. true noone likes those seats, but for the graduating 8th grader (ahem me) its embarrasing. i had to sit next to her (the 7th grade music maniac) and i was afraid she would stabb my eyes with the bow. so the next week (and every week after that) i was sitting at the back row (my favorite). u see i can really help the suckish back row members. lol
I play french horn! Portal, bassoon is the hardest insturment to learn. and Horn is the hardest brass. I was originaly going to be in orchestra… played violen 6th grade year. but i was so good that i played cello with the 7th grade band. They were going to move me up and play base with the 9th grade band. But i quit and now i’m in 8th with 1 year less of experiance then the other 8th graders… and i’m playing lead horn with the 9th grade band… Going to go to the lower chairs of the 11th grade band next year.

Kids in my class say i’m really good. My band teacher said “I don’t want to see any Clarinets here over the break. (i think it was winter break, but i’m not sure.) I don’t want to see and Bassoons here- actually I don’t need to worry about you (me). Out of all three beginning band classes, i’m first chair out of all *coughcoughtwoincludingmecoughcough* Bassoons :D.

you can do what you want, but heed this warning. strmages arent wanted. its gonna be hard and many people will not pq w/ you cuz they only want strong ppl (thats how this world works). so if ur gonna make a str- anything, make a warrior. having low/no dex, u will do so much damage. and if u want, u can make an hp/mp w/ low/no dex and regular str. thats sw, and ur damage might be weaker, but trust me, you wont die.

My band’s concert was last night, and we did awesome!!! When we played “Take Me Out to the Ball Game”, the whole Chorus sang XD!!! Most of the crowd did too, and the whold band barely even noticed. It was like we were in our own little world. It was awesome!!!!!!!

We got a standing ovation after “Take Me Out to the Ball Game”! My band teacher said “Crowd loves the cheese” XD. He was referring to “Take Me Out to the Ball Game”, the “cheesiest” song we played. Before us, the Jazz band played. We (the beginning band) were still practicing and the Jazz band started without my band teacher! He said “Did they start without me? That’s so cool!” XD XD XD XD. Sorry for the double post and for the long messages, but I’m suuuuuper excited!!!!!
I just started marching band, its harder than you think, just standing there… you have to be perfect! Hips, sholders, knees, everything has to be perfect, then my band director goes: “Band ten hut!” and then we all go “Hit!” perfectly in time. Then we snap to the carring postion. After we get there if we move even a little after the 1/2 a second we have to get there, then we did it wrong and we have to practise over and over… Then the met starts and on 5, we go “five and six!” Then out horns are at 15 degrees above parallel. We breath for 7 and 8, and on the and of 8, we start lifting up out heels 2 inches, and set it down on beat 1, and on and we lift it up, and on 2 we put it down, perfectly in tempo (to practice marching) and we have to concentrate on not playing out of tune at all while doing all this. Its sooooo hard 😥

this also sucks. the 8th graders (and waay before them) went to six flags for their graduation field trip. this year, its coco keys, the teachers are thinking about six flags for the next year’s 8th graders.-_-
next year, and the year after i believe will be getting a new school construction, bigger gym, bigger lunch room, a phone in every class, (i think air conditioning). so 09’s 8th graders get nothing good. heres ONE good thing for us. starting next year, if u have ONE failing class, you cant go to graduation. =P

Im sure everyone who doesnt check this on a normal computer is getting angry at how long these pages are getting, especially those using a DSi/iTouch, they have to scroll with their fingers, and it definitely takes forever. I see alot of multi-posting here, and Ive done a bit of it, and it takes up a good chunk of the pages. I think i fixed it. there was a time when maple didnt work for me… So i got v.69 and it wouldnt patch. So i reinstalled my modem (the thing i tried to do earlier except i disabled modem firewall) and the patch is going… Lol, hopefully it works.
